Contest Closed, Winner published!!

Here we are with the outcomes! Despite the previous months we have selected many more works: 15 Ads and 18 Faces; we have really tried to do our best, both in choosing - very hard and tough - and trying to award as many partecipants as possible (obviously, in a contest not everyone can win ;))

For some ads we had written down a couple of lines explaining why they haven't been chosen, since they are the the ones we were not sure of, but we ended up not publishing that because it would have been great to write that for everyone, but this time there were a lot of participants... If you want further explanation just post and ask, we do not eat anyone (:P), and it could maybe come in handy for next month.

Notice that the factors we have considered are:
- the idea;
- the picture on the whole (background/fonts/ingame or real pictures, the location of the character on the single or double page)
- details (such as using simple fonts instead of "flowered" ones, but obviously not overdoing choosing a default Times New Roman)
- as for the faces, obviously also the Sim's features
- the image quality, since we have to publish them in a specific resolution. About this, we have also chosen a couple of not very well-focused ads, that in large size appear a bit pixellated, but the idea was very cute. However, these ads may not be published if we experience trouble when creating the magazine layout.

Take part in Sims2Cri's new contest, the star of the SC Mag next issue could be you!
Create your own ad or photobook of a model Sim, and take part in our contest, you could be one of Sims2Cri's photographers and win exclusive clothes!

You'll only have to shoot an ingame picture, assemble and customize it as you prefer, create the brand, a slogan and publish it according to the following rules. You can choose between two orientations: New Faces or AD, and create up to four pics, having so more chances to win; all the selected ones could choose a skin and the first three classifieds and the coolest will choose and download exclusive clothes created by Sims2Cri's staff, and the winner will get a special prize!

Rules:

• You can choose between two different modalities:.
  • New Faces: you have to create a picture that includes a close-up and a full-lenght of the selected Sim, with free location and clothing style.
    The Sim can be adult or teenager.
    The subject must obviously be the same in each shoot.
    You can choose to post the close-up and the full-lenght separately or together, but you have to follow the indicated size, or we'll not consider your work.

  • Fashion AD: you have to create a Fashion-themed Ad, that can be about every fashion-related field, from clothing to makeup, from shoes to accessories, and that has to concern the Sims world. • Every contestant can create UP to 4 pics, and with "project" we mean an ad or a close-up/full-lenght of a model. You can also post two models and an ad, for example.
• New Faces pics size: vertical A4 (827x1169 pixels) and 100dpi resolution if you post the close-up and the full-lenght separately, or an horizontal A3 (1654x1169px) and 100dpi resolution if you put together the close-up and the full-lenght. Other sizes will not be published.
• Fashion AD size: vertical A4 (827x1169 pixels) and 100dpi resolution or an horizontal A3 (1654x1169px) and 100dpi resolution. Other sizes will not be published.
• Pics must be published on Koinup, and tagged as scmagadaugustcontest.
• About the NEW FACES, you can use models created by you and already published on other websites or downloaded from other sites. You only have to credit the website the Sim can be downloaded at. Inedited Sims can also be chosen to become Sims2Cri official models, and published on our website.
• You have to keep the original file (i.e. if you work with Photoshop save your files in .psd and keep it somewhere), because we will need it if you win or get in the first ten places.
• We appreciate if you credit the websites you have downloaded stuff from in the "Credit" section when uploading the pics.

Prizes and outcomes

Judges: Sims2Cri's staff (Cristina, Paperpin in particular)
Criteria: creativity, cure, quality and connection to the theme.

At least 10 best entries will be published on the issue of the magazine. All selected will win a special skins (we add it on this page during the contest)

The first 3 classifieds, beyond the publication (with credits of course), will win 2 creation of the staff, at their choice (new skins will be add on this page during the contest).

The Koinup coolest (at August 28th) can choose 2 creation.

The First Classified will win a special award: a sculpture, with custom message and clap animation. Your sims earn 25 entertainment points when watching it.

The outcomes will be published on August 29th.
